It was fun until the puck dropped. Flames vs Oilers, Jan 21, 2017

Retro night. Battle of Alberta, Flames vs Oilers, Johnny vs McDavid. Sounds fun, right? Well, the opening montage and graphics on the Energy Board were fun but it all went downhill after that for the home team. Johnson allowed 3 goals in first 5 minutes before he was pulled in favour of Elliott and only bright spot was Monahan continuing a goal scoring streak. Final score was 7-3 (with an empty net goal). Flames have a tenuous grasp on a playoff spot a Oilers will contest for the Pacific Division title.
