I attended the Friday night game. It was a good battle, a better game than the previous one I attended. The Flames took the lead with the first goal by Hudler but the Blue Jackets scored two unanswered goals and won 2-1. Ramo faced fewer shots than the Jackets goalie and that goalie was among the three stars of the game. The setback for the Flames seemed to motivate them to make up for it in the Hockey Day in Canada game on Saturday in Vancouver. But the hole dug by a poor run in January looks to be the undoing of the Flames hopes for making the playoffs this year. The best thing about the Friday game may be that Hudler raised his trade value a little more from a team looking for rental player for this year’s playoffs.
